Forum of Young Italians Abroad

Forum of Young Italians Abroad

The first Forum implemented by the General Council of Italians Abroad is dedicated to young Italian citizens living abroad. The Forum revolves around five priority areas identified by young nationals to ensure an effective and satisfactory connection with Italy. These priority areas were set out in a document submitted to the Plenary Assembly and confirmed in 22 final documents resulting from meetings held in their host countries.
These priority areas are: information, identity, inter-cultural promotion, inter-cultural exchange, and vocational training and employment.

One of the questions emerging from ongoing debates is whether other young people share the same priorities as the community of Italians abroad and if there are other major topics that may have a positive impact on the relationship between Italy and future generations of Italians abroad.

Another question is whether the attempt to recover the connection that is sometimes interrupted between citizens of Italian origin and their homeland can be a way of creating new relationships between Italy and the younger generations of Italians living abroad.
